Grace Specialty Vermiculite - The industry's high performance vermiculite product line
One of the industry's most useful and versatile materials, vermiculite expands approximately 15 times when exposed to heat or certain chemical reactions. Vermiculite ore is mined, concentrated at Grace's facilities, and then sold as a raw material to a variety of industrial customers or sent to Grace plants for processing into a line of branded products.
Grace's Specialty Vermiculite product team has developed technology for processing the vermiculite ore, which involves both chemical and physical modification to produce a varied line of vermiculite products. Vermiculite's distinct properties offer a number of benefits including high heat and fire resistance, high absorbency, excellent insulating, sound absorption and reinforcement. Vermiculite is also economical and can be modified for specialty applications.
